Here is a simple potpourri project you can do with your kids.
Not only do these smell great, but they are good looking too!
We are planning on making them this afternoon.
It's snowing outside,
we just finished homemade hot chocolate,
and are all cozy by the fire.
This is the perfect project for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Once the entire orange is covered in cloves, you can gently roll it in ground cinnamon or a pumpkin pie spice mixture for an enhanced scent.
Make sure you choose an orange with a thin skin, otherwise you might have to use a needle to prick the design in first.
Another idea is to "write" a letter with the cloves to spell out Thanksgiving or Christmas words like, "thanks, give, joy" etc.
Place the oranges down the center of your table for an easy display.
Have fun!
xoxo
