And why stop with paint?

A trip to home depot and I now have new mouldings around the door. I have to tell you, I had no idea what I was doing. I did call my husband, who is away on a fishing trip (therefore~the project) and ask him where the air nailer is kept. I don't think he liked the sounds of that. I haven't talked to him since.
It still looks a little "new" to me. But I'm sure before long the kids will have it broken in.

I did a few doodles, I think the paint fumes got to me.

On another note~I picked out my new granite slab for the island on Thursday! I am so excited! We are re-working the whole island and I can't wait to get started! No, I am not painting it with chalkboard paint :)
